I've been hunting for a good shampoo and conditioner set for a WHILE. Nearly every brand puts coconut oil in their conditioner and that does not agree with my skin (or hair), whatsoever.
Nolé uses coconut derivatives (such as the surfactant in the shampoo) but those don't seem to bother me for whatever reason. Just the strait coconut oil.
My 24-hour results have been pretty awesome.
Background: My hair has been really difficult since I moved. My old house burned down and now I'm in place with terrible well-water that has been awful for my hair and skin. Can't even drink it. My naturally curly/wavy hair has been flat, stringy, greasy AND too dry at the same time, and so damaged that I haven't been able to grow it past chin length in four years, no matter what I try.
THIS!: Firstly, my roots have volume again! Woohoo! No more helmet-head. My curls actually feel hydrated and SOFT, without being so weighed down that they can't curl. The frizz is better. The ends look better (yes, after just one wash, I'm shocked too). And refreshing my hair after sleeping on it was so easy. I was even kind of lazy about it today but, in a pinch, I could happily be seen in public without too much more effort put into it. It's still fluffy and still looks clean, instead of looking flat and edging toward stringy.
Oh, the SMELL! Amazing. I love it! I don't think I can describe it well... it's clean, warm, fresh, soothing. Definitely a smell I can live with having inches from my face all day.…
